Mike Baldwin trained as a harp maker at London Metropolitan University during
the early 1990s where he researched nineteenth century U.K. harp patents. He
worked briefly for Pilgrim Harps before retraining as a teacher. He returned to
London Metropolitan University in September 2008 to resume his studies and is
currently writing an MA Dissertation investigating the papers of a nineteenth
century harp maker in London. Mike still occasionally makes harps though his
interests lie in repairing and restoring single-action and grecian harps. He
currently teaches children with learning difficulties in West London. Mike can be contacted at www.downeyharps.com
